It is always difficult to know how works will be seen by others. While it is important to be "true to yourself" and not to pander to others ideas of what is right or wrong, it is also encouraging if people like what you do.
A lot of commercially attractive contemporary seascape artists produce vibrant and lively work. However, much of this is perhaps over coloured and can lack subtlety. As an amateur it is entirely possible to follow these examples, but I would like to have a more restrained approach and if I go anywhere to achieve this I will be satisfied.
